Mary Rieth Obituary

Rieth, Mary Ellen Age 65, of Cudahy, was born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 26, 1945 and passed peacefully from this world on December 21, 2010. She received the Sacrament of Last Rites surrounded by her family. Beloved sister of Michael Gerard (Miriam) Rieth. Loving and caring "Auntie Mary" of their children, Christina, Joseph and Blanca, and, of LoriAnn (Ken) Giesfeldt. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Peter and Christine Mary Rieth, and her older sister, Rosemary Prevedel. Mary Ellen was a devout Catholic who provided companionship and caregiving for her mother. In her later years, Mary shared a special, mother-like bond with her Golden Retriever girl, Molly. A gathering of family and friends will commence at 4PM on Thursday, December 30, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 1304 Manitoba Ave., South Milwaukee, followed by a 5PM Mass of Christian Burial. A celebration meal will follow. Memorial contributions in Mary Ellen's name should be directed to the church. A special thank you to "Uncle Lou" Prevedel, to her coworkers at US Bank, especially John Frisch, to her neighbors and helpers, and, to many others for being such good friends with Mary Ellen, and, to her medical caregivers for their dedicated and compassionate care.
