Eugene Kotlarek Obituary

Kotlarek, Eugene R. "Gene" Born to Eternal Life on May 7, 2011, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Szedziewski) for 60 years. Loving father of Gary, Linda Runge, Neal (Mary Beth) and Mark (Paula). Proud grandfather of Lesley Runge and Bartholomew, Zachary and Noah Kotlarek. Dear brother of Lorraine Durovy and the late Dorothy Dunlap. Further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. Family and friends will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 AM, at St. Roman Church (1810 W. Bolivar). Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Gene proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Force, and was a graduate of Marquette University. He was a longtime employee of Sears and volunteered with the "Meals on Wheels" program during his retirement years. Gene was an avid golfer, had a passion for reading and had a love of art. Gramps you will be in our hearts forever.

My sympathies to you all on your loss. Gene and my dad Ted Sowinski worked together at Sears many years ago and were good friends. I remember great times our families spent together.
