John M. Meganck Notice
Meganck, John M. Died in his wife's arms on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at the age of 56 years. It was the end of a long journey for John. Loving husband and best friend of Annamarie (nee Passow). Father of Michael, Shannon and Mollie Meganck. Step-father to Catherine (Jon) Ruzicka, Elissa (Joshua) Smith, Vinnie and Sam Ingrilli. Loving son of Patricia and the late John J. Meganck. Loving brother to Deb (Steve) Wayne, Kathy Redlin, Lynn (Randy) Hunt, Mark (Megan), Nancy (Elroy) Hinkforth and Mary (Dan) Halaska. Further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation Saturday, December 17, at SCHMIDT & BARTELT FUNERAL HOME, 10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, from 11:00AM until time of Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name to Children's Hospital appreciated. John graduated from Wauwatosa East High School Class of 1973. He attended UW-Waukesha and then graduated from Mary College in Bismarck, ND. John was inducted into the UW-Waukesha Hall of Fame for basketball. Throughout his life, John excelled in sports and was an avid sports enthusiast. He played basketball, softball, volleyball, golf and tennis. He loved the Packers, Brewers and Marquette basketball. John especially enjoyed coaching his childrens' various sports teams. John worked as a sales representative at Badger Liquor. The family is extremely grateful to Badger for their incredible support during John's long and courageous battle with cancer. In the spirit of John's love for the Packers, please feel free to wear your favorite Packer gear on Saturday.
