Carol Reid Obituary

Reid, Carol A. Died peacefully on April 15, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Survived by her children Janet (Michael) Gaeta, Eileen Bernocco, Roger, and Maureen (Steven) Nixon. Beloved Grandmother to Anthony and Christopher Bernocco, Stephen, Michelle and John Gaeta, Calvin and Owen Nixon. Will be deeply missed by her cousin and best friend Jane (Warren) Schmidt, Niece and Godaughter Elaine Schmidt and Nephew Warren Schmidt. Carol was a loving and gentle woman who always maintained a positive perspective. Traveling was a passion and she especially enjoyed her yearly trips to Puerto Rico vacationing with family. She also enjoyed life's simple pleasures like reading, shopping, bird watching, and playing games with all ages. After moving to Greendale she became a member of the Greendale Senior Social Club and the Red Hats. Her involvement with these groups brought new friendships and much joy. A private memorial will be held in her honor. The family would like to thank LifePath Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to LifePath Hospice, Sun City Center, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573 would be greatly appreciated.
