Mary Grueninger-O'Leary Obituary

Grueninger-O'Leary, Mary Age 80, of Minocqua, left this world peacefully at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Sunday, May 27, 2012. Mary was born to Edward and Nalita Kissling in Milwaukee, May 17, 1932. She graduated from Riverside High School and attended Marquette University. She was employed by Hubbard and Tisdale Advertising Agency before marrying James R. Grueninger (Grueninger Reality, Milwaukee/ Doolittle Bardon Reality, Minocqua). As a young mother and homemaker, in 1964, Mary founded the Suburban Republican Women's Club of Milwaukee. The club will celebrate it's 50th anniversary in 2014 and continues its mission of educating and inspiring women to elect and protect Conservative candidates, causes and our Constitutional freedoms in Wisconsin and America. (see www.SRWCmilwaukee.com) After the death of her husband, Jim, in 1976, Mary married Minocqua businessman, Robert John O'Leary. She moved to Minocqua where they raised three girls; Mary's daughter, Toni, and Bob's daughters, Gerianne and Maureen. Bob and Mary traveled the world but Mary still found time to start the Lakeland Area Republican Women's Club. Mary is preceded in death by husband James Grueninger, husband Robert O'Leary, step-daughter Gerianne O'Leary and son-in-law Robert Mann. Mary is survived by daughter Antoinette Mann-Jansen (husband Scott), grandson Robert Mann, step-daughter Maureen O'Leary, and by her dear companion and nurse Gisela Lusa. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, Woodruff, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeland Scholarship Fund, to the ASPCA, or to the conservative candidate of your choice.
