Irving R. Goodsitt Notice
Goodsitt, Irving R. Passed away April 29, 2013, at the age of 92. Loving husband of Claire Goodsitt (nee Prest). Dear father of Mitch (Barb) Goodsitt, Greg (Maura Murphy) Goodsitt, Susan (Jeff) Hamer and the late Jan Goodsitt. Cherished grandfather of Marlena (John) Grotans, Sam, Lauren, Brenna, Caitlin, Aaron and Kelsey Goodsitt. Irv was born in Milwaukee, on November 3, 1920. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and served overseas in the European Theater in England and Italy. In 1950 he married the love of his life, Claire. They lived and raised a family in Milwaukee, Glendale, Oconomowoc, Woodland Hills, CA and Jefferson, MA. Irv graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Land Economics. He worked as a designer and builder of many residential and commercial buildings with his cousin, Arthur Brazy for 50 years. Irv had strong passions for contemporary design, politics, dogs, and foreign cars, especially Peugeots. He was very creative and artistic and continued to paint, draw and design into his 90's. He will be deeply missed. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 3, at 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Cemetery, 166 S. Hawley Ct., Milwaukee.
