Cardenas, Emerio J., Sr. "Emery" Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, age 85 years. Preceded in death by his son, Dale Cardenas and his great-granddaughter, Abagail. Beloved husband for almost 60 years to Virginia (nee Samplaski). Loving and best dad of Elaine (Ed Jr.) Tombari, Emery Cardenas II, Carlos (Karen) Cardenas, Renee (Anthony Gundrum) Cardenas and his pseudo daughter, Lenore (Leo) Adrian. Proud "DinDin" of Lenore (Wayne) Muelver, Kirsten (Craig) Dodge, Nicole Tombari, Mathew (Nicole) Tombari, Emery III, Roger, Luke, Kelly Swamp, and Erik (Angie) Swamp. Great "DinDin" to Madison, Reagan, McKinley, Sydney, Chloe, Henry, Gavin, Sofia, Madelyn, Marissa, Dakota and Jonas. Dearest brother of Ella (Karel) Kotnik, Jesse (Wanda) Cardenas, Joseph (Barbara) Cardenas and the late Roger (Dolly) Cardenas. Fond brother-in-law of Dee Cardenas, Eugene (Lois) Samplaski, Peter (JoAnn) Samplaski and Diane Salmon. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Emery was the owner of the former Emery's Jim Reichart Studio, a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War, a member of Greendale Post No. 416-American Legion and a member of the Bishop Leo J. Brust Knights of Columbus Council No. 3702. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, July 15, 2013, 4:00-8:00 PM, prayer service at 8:00 PM. Funeral on Tuesday, 10:30 AM from the Funeral Home to IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment and military honors to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to the . "Emery taught us to savor Life!"
