James Glen Babler Notice
Babler, James Glen Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 19, 2013, age 85. Loving husband of Clarice (nee Pree). Beloved father of Scott (Margaret). Proud papa of Ava and Jack. Brother of the late Beulah (the late Jack) Warren, and Gene (Dottie). Brother-in-law of Pat (the late Tom) Kueny, the late Lorraine (the late Joe) Lucas, the late Gladys (the late Don) McMahon. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation on Tuesday October 1 from 10AM-12PM at QUEEN OF APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, N35 W23360 Capitol Dr., Pewaukee. Memorial Mass to follow at 12PM. Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery. Our world is a better place because of Jim. He was born in Milwaukee on March 11, 1928. He attended St. Bernards Grade School, Marquette High School, and Marquette University. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Jim married the love of his life, Clarice, in 1953. They were together for over 60 years. He spent his career as a Purchasing Manager at Bruner Corporation and later at Fleck Controls. From the 1950's thru the 1980's, Jim was one of the top bowlers in the area. In retirement, he enjoyed all Wisconsin sports, spending time with family and friends, and took an occasional trip to Ho-Chunk, Potawatomi, or even Las Vegas. Jim missed a Powerball jackpot by one number in 1997. But all who knew him felt we won the lottery everyday by having Jim in our lives. He put others first, helping family, friends, and strangers in need. Jim had a special fondness for his grandchildren, Jack and Ava. He will be sorely missed by all of us. Dad, you will have a special place in our hearts forever! A special thanks to the staff of Franciscan Woods for their wonderful care.
