Robert L."Bob" Johnson

Johnson, Robert L."Bob" Age 84. Was taken away from us far too soon, on October 10, 2013, the victim of a homicide. Survived by one son, Phillip (Atlanta, GA). Loving brother to sisters: Carol Johnson of California, Gale (Ron) Yunke of Crivitz, WI), Joann Svoboda of Brussels, WI. Uncle to DeAnn (Dan) of Green Bay, WI; and special friend and long-time companion, Patricia Paskel. Also survived by a host of relatives and friends. He proudly served his country in the U.S Air Force. Bob loved to be employed. He talked fondly of his position at the Milwaukee Medical College. He also worked many years at the Ladish Company. He later took a position with The City Of Milwaukee, where he was employed as a maintenance worker for the Milwaukee Housing Authority. He retired at the age of 73 years, only after a tragic accident that left him disabled. Bob was a man who lived life to the fullest. In his early years, he belonged to a motorcycle club. He boasted about purchasing his first car at the age of 13. He was a fun, loving, sensitive man who cried while watching sad movies. He loved meeting and talking to people throughout his travels. He lived to drive his car around town daily, often throughout Wisconsin, listening to The Old Time radio. He was a loyal customer at just about every Goodwill and thrift store throughout Wisconsin. Having a good eye for detail and a fondness for clocks and watches, he purchased several. He would often dismantle them, only to create his own personal masterpieces. Bob was laid to rest in a private service held in Pelkey Michigan, on October 19, 2013.
