Mark Williams Obituary

Williams, Mark W. "Coach Mark" Age 88, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at home in Stone Mountain, GA. Mark founded multiple start-up companies. He also worked as an executive at CNA and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). It was while holding a vice president position with BCBS that Mark decided to leave the fast-paced world of insurance to pursue his dream of teaching and coaching college football at Carroll University where he retired in 1992. Coach Mark was born on May 31, 1925 in West Hartford, CT and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Williams, as well as his children Beth Kostka, Anne Williams, James Williams, and Mark Williams, II. His life will be celebrated at the Country Springs Hotel; Dec. 6, 2013 (6-9pm). In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Carroll University/ Office of Institutional Advancement, Memo: Coach Mark Williams, 100 East Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.

Was just thinking how he was a straight and forward guy, always gave you a chance and allowed you your opinions,..a great guy that helped keep me in check and helped shape my life during and after college...a good friend , he will be missed, rest peacefully coach...Kevin Otto class of 83
