Howard Lowell Hall Notice
Hall, Howard Lowell Passed peacefully on December 10, 2013, at the age of 82. Lowell's generosity, selflessness, and capacity for unconditional love, has left this world a better place because he was with us. Lowell cherished the natural world, was an avid birder, a dedicated member of the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology, and a past president of the Milwaukee Audubon Society. He adored the birdwatching trips he took with Jan Hansen's Otus asio Tours, including San Blas, Mexico and Southern Arizona. Lowell loved camping, canoeing, fishing and hunting in the north woods of Wisconsin. He was a generous contributor to the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Riveredge Nature Center, the Ridges Sanctuary in Door County, the Milwaukee County Zoo and the Scleroderma Foundation, to name only a few. Donations to any of these in Lowell's honor would be appreciated. Born in Madison, WI to Howard Lewis and Mary Louise (Finch) Hall, Lowell graduated from Madison West High, then attended Amherst College in Massachusetts. Returning to Madison, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, then obtained his law degree from the University. He was an attorney with Northwestern Mutual Life Ins. Co. for over 35 years. Lowell is survived by his two children, Elizabeth Louise (Hall) Wronski, and H. Lee Hall, his two grandchildren, Kyle Lowell Wronski and Brooke Hely Wronski, his brother Hugh F. Hall, and his three nieces Heather, Holly and Heidi. Beth resides in Scottsdale, AZ with Kyle, Brooke and her husband Erich. Lee resides in Lyons, CO with his fianceé Carol Marra. Hugh and his wife Helen reside in Oostburg, WI. Lowell was preceded in passing by his beloved wife Mary (Seifert) Hall. The family extends deep gratefulness to the earthly angels at Horizon Hospice in Mequon for their incredible warmth, kindness and care. A celebration of life is to be determined.
