Parmelee, Lawrence F. His Lord took him home on Friday, March 28, 2014, age 88 years. Loving husband for 65 years to Shirley. Dear father of Susan (Kenneth) Brester and Terry (Sharon) Parmelee. Proud grandfather of Steve (Chris) Brester, Bethany Brester, Michelle (Mark) Schaefer, Melissa (Jody) Larson, Stephanie (Sherman) Koeberl, Chris (Jessica) Hixon and Eric Quinn. Papa to 10 great-grandchildren Zachary, Aidrian, Caleigh, Jacob, Jordan, Luke, Katie, Sarah, Justin and Marissa. Brother of Patty (Floyd) Hoefert, and Glen (Sue)Parmelee. Larry was a faithful member of Covenant Lutheran Church. He loves his family, his country and his Lord. He always felt proud to have served in the Marine Corps for two and a third years, calling it the greatest experience of his life. He volunteered for the military at age 18, survived the battle of Okinawa. Larry worked for the Miller Brewery for Thirty-Two and a third years. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Hazel Parmelee and his great-granddaughter Sydnie Larson. The family thanks the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Health Center for the good care given to Larry. Visitation Tuesday, April 1, at COVENANT LUTHERAN CHURCH 8121 W. HOPE, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Private entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials to Covenant Lutheran Church or Stars and Stripes Honor Flight appreciated. Semper Fi Papa
