Behring, Carl F. A long time resident of Glendale. Passed away peacefully and entered Eternal Life on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband for nearly 71 years of Gladys E. (nee Wenzel). Loving father of Carla (Paul) Schumann and Cynthia (Allan) Pfalzgraf. Dear brother of Adeline (the late Clarence) Langenfeld and Victor (Violette) Behring. Carl was preceded in death by his brother Raymond (Ella) Behring and his sister Eleanor (Walter) Neubauer. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, from 1:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Carl proudly served his country in the US Coast Guard during WWII. For over 33 years, Carl serviced typewriters at IBM where he was well respected for his knowledge and skill. He was an avid dahlia grower and gardener, giving away hundreds of tomatoes every year to neighbors and friends. He was a long time member of the Wisconsin Dahlia Society and won many awards for his prized dahlias. During the winter months, Carl enjoyed woodworking, making decorative Christmas sleighs, rocking horses, bird houses and other wooden crafts, to give to family and friends. He will be forever missed and loved.
