Hagen, Kenneth George, Professor Em. Of Lake Mills, WI, died May 11, 2014, peacefully in his sleep at home from complications of renal disease at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his son Erik in 2003 and his parents in 1993. He was born on July 2, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to George and Eunice Hagen and married Aldemar Johnson on June 21, 1958 in Maple Bay, MN. He received a BA from Augsburg College in Minneapolis in 1958; a BD in 1961 from Harvard Divinity School and a Th.D from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA in 1967. Ken taught in the Theology Department at Marquette University, Milwaukee for 33 years. His love of Luther research kept him active into his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Aldemar "Aldy"; two daughters Carolyn Balistreri and Susan (Joe) Henrichs, four grandchildren: Branden (Stacey), Amber, Cole Balistreri and Lucas Henrichs, all living in the Oconomowoc area; two step-grandchildren Joey and Jackie Henrichs; a sister Donna Bassett of San Diego, CA; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 16, from 11:30 to 1:30 PM at HARDER FUNERAL HOME with services to follow at 1:30 PM. Pastor Dan Dibbert from Grace Lutheran in Cambridge, WI, will be officiating.
