Ronald Knox Obituary

Knox, Ronald P. " Captain Ron/Uncle Ron" Peacefully and gratefully entered heaven after a short illness on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the age of 71 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife Joanne (nee Wheaton), son Ronald II (Audra), and daughter Stacy. Additionally, he has been the loving "Papa" to Megan and grandfather to Jasmine, Ariel, and Christian, and soon to be great-grandfather to Hazel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his brother and sister-in-law Dan and Karen Roder, and, most sweetly, by his mother-in-law "Miss Carrie" Roder. A longtime resident of Muskego, WI, he was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Muskego to continue his longstanding career in nursing home operations, serving as the Senior VP of Operations for Unicare Health Facilities. Eight years ago, along with three other good men, he founded the non-profit organization Feed My Sheep, Inc., operated out of Elmbrook Church, where he served in fulltime ministry until the last days of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and acceptance for all and is known as the man "behind the counter" who always had time for any man, woman, or child, and especially the seniors who he loved to serve. He is a man who walked with Jesus and modeled his ways. You will be missed by many. A visitation will be held on Saturday January 9th at Elmbrook Church at 777 S. Barker Rd. Brookfield, WI from 10 AM to 11 AM. followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made "In loving memory of Ron Knox" to either Feed My Sheep or Blair Academy/Class of '63 Faculty Chair, addressed envelopes will be available at the service. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Dear Joanne, Family and especially to Miss Carrie,

My deepest sympathy to all! I was informed of his passing by Pam Knoll and I will be so eternally grateful. I met Ron and his "precious" mother-in-law Carrie the first time I went down South with Elmbrook to help with the flooding and be apart of Samaritan's Purse for the first time. For all men to have that kind of relationship with their mother-in-law - it was so special. While I was down there, I found out that Carrie and I shared the same birthday! I remember talking to Ron outside and he was making his special Bubba burgers on the grill. I would tease him about that everytime I saw him behind the counter after ladies Bible study. What a gem of a Godly man! He walked the walk and talked the talk. We're all better for having known him even if it was in passing. His loving smile radiated God's love! We will all miss him! See you in heaven, Ron!

What a beautiful, fitting tribute to Ron! We are so grateful to have been his friends here and have a strong belief that we are only separated for a time.
"Well done good and faithful servant, now enter into your rest."

Dear Joanne,
May God's peace be with you. We will always remember Ron fondly and smile when we think about all the great times we had together. Ron had a wonderful sense of humor, was kind & caring and was a great story teller. But he will be remembered mostly for being "A good and faithful servant of the Lord." Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Much love, Roch & Jane
