She was a member of the Florentine Opera Chorus for 9 years and later worked for many years as a dresser with the costume department. Jean was in her 60th year as a member of Jackson Park Evangelical Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir for more than 50 years. Jean was a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital for 31 years. She had a passion for travel, and her favorite destination was Hawaii. Jean always considered raising her family to be her greatest accomplishment in life. A memorial will be held at the church at 4535 W Oklahoma Ave. on Friday, March 3, with visitation from 4-6PM, followed by a service at 6PM. The family would appreciate memorials to the church in Jean's name.
