Niesje Joyce (Brestel) Wilson(1947 - 2013)

Niesje Joyce (Brestel) Wilson, 65, of Big Springs, Nebraska, got her angel wings on January 14, 2013 after battling cancer.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at United Methodist Church at 203 East 3rd Street, Big Springs, NE 69122. Pastor Ray Weinerman and Pastor Alice Koech will be officiating. Interment of Ashes will follow the memorial service at the Big Springs Cemetery.
Niesje was born in Julesburg, Colorado on Saturday, February 22, 1947 to William(Bill) and Joyce Brestel. She graduated from Big Springs High School in 1965. Niesje was united in marriage to Scott Wilson on August 26, 1978. She worked as a mom, world's best cook, grandmother, bus driver, sister, waitress, aunt, cafe owner, friend, cousin, niece, and an angel on earth. She was actively involved with the Nebraska AIDS Project.
Niesje is survived by husband, Scott, children, Kent Headley and wife, Stacey, Ogallala, NE, Chad Headley and wife, Lisa, Maricopa, AZ, Jack Wilson and fiancée, Tina, Ovid, CO; grandchildren, McKenna and Mason, Kelsey, Myles, Brandon, and Max, and Devin, Tiffany, Porsche, Jaxson, Mia, Tapanga, JR, Mikey, and Carson; brother, Jack Brestel and wife, Ann, Lincoln, NE; nieces, Erin Brestel, Omaha, NE, Brooke Brestel, Lincoln, NE; nephew, Jake Brestel, Dillon, CO; aunt, Beverly Farlin and husband, Leslie, Big Springs, NE and many other family members. Being a loving spirit, she accepted everyone with open arms, and has many "adopted" children and many people that consider her a close friend.
Niesje is preceded in death by her eldest son, Douglas; parents, Bill and Joyce Brestel; and grandparents Jack and Vina Brown, William Brestel and Charlotte Messenger, among other family and friends that she now joins in heaven.
