Ignacio Hernandez Obituary
Ignacio Hernandez, 35, of Nunn, CO passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 in Greeley, CO. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 10th, at 10am to 6pm, at Austin-Tennant Funeral Home in Julesburg, CO. Rosary services will be held Wednesday, December 11, at 10:30am before Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday following Rosary service with Reverend Michael O'Brien celebrating, burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Ignacio was born January 15, 1978 in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Revere High School in Ovid, CO in 1997. He was an accomplished carpenter and iron worker and had recently started a career in the oil field as a safety coordinator with Sauecedo. Ignacio loved fishing and spent most of his free time on the water. He was also a talented DJ and devoted Broncos fan. He loved his daughter Alexis, niece Nikki, nephew Mickel, and his family & friends. In August of 2012 Ignacio accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and he attended Northern Colorado Cowboy Church.
Ignacio is survived by daughter Alexis, mother and step-father Patricia and Tim Case of Nunn, CO, brother Mickel Quinones (Natalie) of Pierce, CO, brother Ceiso Quinones of Greeley, CO, grandparents John & Sara Hernandez of Ovid, CO, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Ignacio & Maria Hernandez, great-grandparents Alfonso & Mercedes Garcia, and his beloved dog Isaac.
Ignacio will always be remembered for his devotion to his daughter Alexis and his family, his mischievous sense of humor, and uplifting personality.
