Bonnie Bonvallet Zeman passed in August surrounded by her family and love. Born in Chicago, Bonnie was a lifelong teacher. She attended Western Michigan University where she met and married William Zeman. Throughout her life Bonnie dedicated herself to educating and sharing her love with the children in her community. Her teaching career spanned from Michigan to California to Texas, before settling in Juneau, Ak with her husband William. She spent the rest of her life caring for and educating children and young adults in Juneau. Bonnie taught at Capital School, Marie Drake, Juneau Douglas High School, Juneau Christian School, Alyeska Central School, Juneau Montessori School and Head Start. Art was always a part of her life, from her interior decorating and picture framing business, Studio Design, to her love of Alaskan art and artists. Bonnie was always available to help, listen and support anyone who needed it and impacted many lives around her. Bonnie was a mother and a friend to all. Her selfless giving and generous nature had no limit. Her sense of humor, dedication to God and unmatchable love will me missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her two sons. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, please hug a teacher.
