Brandee Lorraine Lloyd, 36, passed away suddenly, and unexpectedly in Tillamook, Oregon on April 19th, 2012. Brandee was born in Seattle, WA on October 26, 1975 to Dale and Polly (Pauline Gabriel) Lloyd. She moved with her family to Cottage Grove, OR when she was an infant, living in Springfield, OR until she was five years old when she moved with her mother to Juneau, Alaska.
Brandee grew up and attended schools in Juneau, including Juneau-Douglas High School. Brandee was one of only two girls to play football with the Juneau Youth Football League. In 1988, playing for the Raiders, her team won thier division title. In 1989 she played for the Eagles and her team again won thier division title that year.
After school, Brandee lived in Cottage Grove and Portland OR, then Grand Rapids Michigan, returning to Cottage Grove in 2005. She traveled extensively through out the western US for six years with her former fiance Marcus in his position as a forester. They had many adventures seeing the world and helping many souls, until last year when she settled in Tillamook, OR due to her health. She enjoyed painting beautiful scenes on 'bears' bread' Marcus found for her in the forest, making jewelery, sewing quilts for all the new babies and she loved Karaoke and camping in nature with her brothers.
Brandee had a passionate love for animals and enjoyed any opportunity to groom all her' four-legged kids'. Brandee lived her life to the fullest and touched the lives of all those she met, leaving a profound legacy of love given. It is her mothers wish for all those who's life has been touched by this love given, pay it forward to let Brandee's legacy live on.
Brandee was preceeded in death by her daughter Andromeda Pearl Lloyd, step-father Steve Knickerbocker; maternal grandparents Robert and Inace Gabriel, and her paternal grandparents Darrell and Claudia Lloyd.
She leaves behind to honor her life, her loving family, mother Polly P. Lloyd of Juneau Alaska, father and step-mother Dale and Judy Lloyd of Cottage Grove, OR; children Tyler Hecksel, Amanda Pearl and Michelle Lois of Michigan; brothers Jeff and Derek Lloyd of Cottage Grove, OR; sister Sadie McKenry and husband Charles of Juneau, AK; step-sisters Tiffany and Sebrina Knickerbocker of Washington state; her former fiance Marcus Koops of Cottage Grove, OR; her significant other Ron Dodson of Tillamook, OR; many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews in Washington, Oregon and New Mexico, as well as many 'adopted' children who called her mom.
A funeral service was held in Tillamook, OR on April 22, 2012 with her family and friends from all over the Pacific Northwest in attendance. Her remains were creamated in Tillamook, and will be intured at the Alaskan Memorial Park and Mortuary in Juneau, with her daughter Andromeda.
