Brandon Lee West, 42, of Auburn, Washington, passed away surrounded by family & friends on August 28, 2015. He was born February 24, 1973, in Juneau, Alaska, to Gregory Lee West & the late Linda Joyce West. He is survived by father Gregory & Monte Swears (Greg's partner); sister, Charity Lee West, nephew Andrew Irwin; aunts Vivian (Mike) Lewis; Linda (the late Billy) West; uncles Jimmy (Beverly) Moor; Gerald (Sandy) West; daughter Effy Madden West.
Brandon graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1991. He received an Automotive Technician certification through the Ford ASSET program from Renton Technical College. He spent most of his career working for Bowen Scarff Ford Lincoln in Kent, WA, and the last two years for Way Scarff Ford Auburn in Auburn, WA.
Growing up, Brandon loved playing the bass guitar with his make-shift band in the family garage; shredding the snowy hills of Eaglecrest every chance he got, tinkering with car engines & hanging out with family and friends. Brandon was funny, laid-back, with a smile that could brighten a room and a laugh that was beyond contagious.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 3, in Juneau, Alaska. Anyone who knew Brandon is welcome to join us for a potluck at Sandy Beach Log Shelter from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
If you knew him, he touched your heart. His warm smile will stay with us forever.
