Brian Richardson, aka Bert James, Jr., died November 15, 2014, he was born 12/12/1937, to Bert James, Sr. and Alice James, of Kake, Alaska. Brian was born Bert James, Jr., but eventually changed his name to Brian Richardson, the best we could determine was that he chose his last name after his stay in the Army at Fort Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret James, Vivian James Johnson, Constance Martin, and brothers Gilbert James, and Rodney French James. He survived by his sister Audrey James Bagoyo and brother Alvin (Ivan) James. Brian had numerous nephews and nieces who he loved dearly. Many he took hunting, fishing, biking and camping.
Brian spent most of his life working mainly interior painting, seasonal fishing, Janitorial, Carpentry, Plumbing and as an electrician in the military.

He lived off and on in a boat his whole life, and he said "the boat was home and he was happy there". Cece would bring him home, but he would watch TV and sneak off to the boat. His hobbies included recording music, fishing, biking, camping, dancing and long walks.

A private service will be held on November 21st, at Memorial Parks for the family.
