Christina M. Kennedy peacefully entered into eternal life June 1, 2015 in Juneau. She was born in Ketchikan September 5, 1933 to James and Johanna Kennedy.

Chris attended Ketchikan Public Schools then graduated from Mt. Edgecumbe High School and attended the University of Alaska. Chris lived in Tok, Prince of Wales, and settled in Douglas where she lived for many years. She worked at Ketchikan General Hospital, Ketchikan Canneries, Tok Credit Union, Sealaska Corporation, and for the State of Alaska in the office of the Governor and Lt. Governor.

Chris loved the outdoors. She enjoyed jogging, sport-fishing, and her adventurous spirit lead her hiking remote places with friends searching for old bottles as she was an avid bottle collector. She also loved swimming at Augustus Brown Swimming Pool.
She was a kind hearted, loving, generous aunt, great aunt and sister. She had a warm smile for all and doted on her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father James, mother Johanna, Brothers William & Thomas, and Sisters Janet (Duncan) & Elizabeth (Heidi).

She is survived by her family in Juneau sister Marlene Cesar (Del), Beverly, Les and David Jensen, nieces and nephews- Joanna, Arlene, Susie, and Robert (of brother William), Roberta, Joyce, Burt, and Mike (of sister Janet), Bob, Cathy, Dian, and Todd (of sister Elizabeth), Beverly and Janice (of sister Marlene), and numerous great nieces and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service at St. Brendan's Episcopal Church 4207 Mendenhall Loop Road at 4:00 PM, Monday, June 15. A reception will follow. All who knew Christine are invited to attend.
