Darlene G. Stutte passed away on April 25, 2014. Darlene was born in 1946 to Floyd and Florence Phelps in Juneau, AK. She spent her childhood in Alaska where she loved to fish with her dad, spend time with her two sisters, Billie Jo and Carmen, and ski with friends. Darlene graduated from high school in 1965 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Stutte in 1966. Bob and Darlene moved to Portland shortly after to attend college and fell in love with Portland where they stayed to raise a family and work in the real estate business. Darlene was the ultimate "supermom," coaching softball and soccer teams, serving as president of the little league, and spending many hours volunteering in her son Lucas' classrooms and Special Olympics events. Darlene is survived by her husband, Bob, her daughters Nicole and Alyssa, son Lucas, and two grandchildren, Spencer and Reese. Darlene's mother, Florence Rossiter and mother-in-law, Marcella Stutte, reside at the Juneau Pioneer Home. A celebration of life will be held at the Portland Golf Club on May 17, 2014 at 3:00 pm. In memory of Darlene, a fund has been set up at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/darlenestutte.
