Denny Ray Marchant of Peshastin, Washington died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in Seattle. He was 65. Denny was born May 1, 1947 in Wenatchee, Washington to Charles Rex and Theda Lenore Marchant. Denny grew up in Wenatchee and Juneau, Alaska. He is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School. After high school, Denny served in the United States Army. Throughout his working life, Denny was the Captain of the ?shing vessels, Faith and Ragtime in Juneau and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stevens Pass, Chelan County and the State of Washington just to name a few. Denny was married to
Kathryn Lynn Weatherman "Kathy", July 12, 1996 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She survives him at the family home. Denny had many hobbies and interests but especially enjoyed music, boating, ?shing, cooking and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of the Peppers Club and the Orion Cooker Club, where he is affectionately known as "Capt-n Den". Denny was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. To know him is to love him. He is dearly missed.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, Denny is survived by his children; Denise Marchant, Ketchikan, AK, Rexanne Hendrickson, Entiat, WA, Jack Marchant and his wife, Sasha, Juneau, AK and Naomi Marchant, Entiat, WA, and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Parks, Sacramento, CA, cousin, John Marchant, Wenatchee, WA, brothers, Tom Weatherman, Kiln, MS, Terry Harper, Olympia, WA and so many special friends; Rob Haase, Beth Davelaar and Steve Gacek to name just a few. Denny is also survived by his special companion, Bella. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theda.
A celebration of Denny's life will begin at 4PM, Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at the Dryden Gun Club in
