Don Strode (1917 - 2011)

Don Strode died in Coeur d'Alene, ID just short of his 94th birthday.

He received in MA in wildlife biology. After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Don worked in the Kentucky Department of Fish & Game and in Guam where he designed and instituted their commercial fisheries program.

Don worked in the Department of Fish & Game in Juneau as Federal Coordinator and Regional Supervisor of the Game Division until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, hiker and nature lover.

His wife, Jean, and son, Mark, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Jean, daughter, Judy Trigg, and granddaughter, Rachel Trigg. He is also survived by dear friends, Fred and Jeanne Ellis, Phil Cooper, Cathy Coyle and Mickey Lesley.
