Donna J. Carroll, longtime resident of Juneau, passed away, December 1, 2017 in Florida. She was an ardent berry picker and loved gardening. She was sharp-witted and an artist with cloth and sewing. She is sadly missed by her husband Pete Noel, daughter Madeline Noel (Simon Stocker), and her granddaughter Jasmine Stocker. Donna's sister Delores Carroll and her children and grandchildren will also miss her as well as her extended family, in-laws, and friends. Donna was a warm and loving friend to her many circles. Donna was preceded in death by her brother George Carroll and her parents.

Donna was born in Danville, Indiana on 11-29-1949, got her degree at Purdue University, and later moved to Alaska in 1982. After 10 years with the IRS, Donna moved between jobs and worked for the state of Alaska Insurance Division and also the taxation division.

After nearly 30 years in Alaska, she preferred to find a home with more sunshine and fewer, gray, cold days. Donna survived many years of cancer treatments and enjoyed seven healthy years in Florida. Please send any remembrances to Juneau Cancer Connection, PO box 20329, Juneau, AK 99802.
