Ella Klaire Fortin died peacefully within her family's loving embrace on April 1, 2012. She was the youngest of 11 children born March, 1929 in Karluk, Kodiak Island to Ewan & Tatiana Naumoff. She attended boarding schools in Seward, Eklutna, and Mt. Edgecumbe, and lived mostly in Juneau since 1948. Some of her work includes co-owner operator of Rapid Service, circulation at Juneau Empire, waitressing at Percy's Café, Laura Lee's and the Bowling Alley, and housekeeper until she retired in her 70's. She loved caring for her clients, who were also her friends, loved bingo, socializing and family gatherings. She is known and loved for her humorous, spunky and loving nature.

Ella is survived by four of her children: Larry Siverly, Pattie Adkisson & Adele Fuette of Juneau, and Victor Fortin, of Las Vegas. Her second son, Martin Siverly, preceded her in death, as did all her sibs. Ella was proud to head 5 generations, loved her family and took great joy in them. Ella is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews in Kodiak, Palmer, Fairbanks,Texas, and Wasilla.
