I will miss this wonderful gentleman, he was a blessing to all who knew him. Dr. George Rogers was a good friend. Sad to know he is gone from this plane, and one day hope to meet him once again on the other plane. God bless this individual. And the same for his family he left on this plane.

I am so happy I was able to meet George and Jean. What a man, just full of Alaskan History. I spent an entire evening with the Rogers family and regret I hadn't met them sooner. My Prayers are with the family.

Jean and Family: George, as we remember, was a devoted family man and an Alaskan favorite son. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

George Rogers was a mentor and friend and a positive force in the establishment of the state he loved and lived in. A good life well-lived.

George was truly one of "Alaska's Living Treasures". Now the candle has been blown out and he passes into the album of "Treasured Alaskan Memories".

What a marvelously talented and energetic man!! When George got involved things happened, good things; things that made Juneau a better community. Who will replace him?

Our neighborhood is one less short, but George will not be forgotten. He was an amazing individual with an amazing spirit.

The arts community in Juneau owes a big debt to George. A Gilbert and Sullivan devotee, he pushed the Juneau Lyric Opera to do Iolanthe in 1985. He made all the sets. (There were so many screws in those things, a bomb would not have dented them.) It was a big success and the JLO was off and running.

One of the State of Alaska's founding fathers is no longer with us. He has left a very large pair of shoes to fill. Godspeed Dr. George until we will all be together again.
