Gideon Anderson Bump, 86, passed away on November 2, 2015 at home in Juneau, Alaska.
Gideon was born December 17, 1928 in Tampa, Florida to Orlando Anderson Bump and Esther Madison Bump. Gid was a long-time Juneau resident, having arrived in 1964. He enjoyed photography, oil painting, and puzzles. Most of all he enjoyed making people laugh. He retired from Alaska Electric Light and Power in 1991. Gid was a member of the Moose and Eagles.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Jim. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma, their three daughters, Susan, Debra, and Carol; and grandchildren Novia, Hallee, Joshua, and Aren; and great-grandchildren Taylor, Will, Tom, Brianna, and Jeremiah. He also leaves his sister, Polly Martin of Williamsburg, Michigan.
