Proud husband, father and family man, Kenneth Charles Grieser died of heart complications on February 1th, 2018.

He was born to Martin and Eulalia Grieser at the grandparent's homestead in Genesee Idaho. Ken was the only boy out of five children.

He married Joan and was looking forward to their 65th wedding anniversary which would have been June 1st. He graduated from Genesee High School in Idaho, and then earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Idaho and a Master of Science in Wildlife Technology from University of Montana. Later he earned a Masters in Family Life Education from Regis University Colorado.

Ken taught science for three years in Montana. Then in 1958 they moved to Juneau Alaska. Ken taught biology at the local high school for 6 yrs., and then moved up to the Alaska State Department of Education until retirement. He then went on to work as a business manager for the Catholic Diocese of Juneau under Bishop Kenny. While there he and Joan also started The Family Life Office.

He enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting and Volks walking. He is survived by eight children and their spouses, which he also considered as his children; fifteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. A quiet memorial service was held on February 3rd.
