Norma Marie Sherwin

Norma Marie Sherwin, 97 of Wildflower Court, Juneau passed away on May 29, 2015. Norma was born on February 9, 1918 and lived the majority of her life in Bradford, PA. She was the daughter of Alva and Eva Mae Elrod.

On December 21, 1942 she married the love of her life, Maurice Sherwin who passed away in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Penny Beiler and husband John of Juneau, a grandson Evan Forsmo and wife Amanda and great granddaughter Aurora Marie Forsmo of Phoenix, AZ. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Arthur and LeRoy Elrod, and an infant son. She leaves her immediate family, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was active in her church, had a love of cooking and entertaining. She loved horses, hunting with Maurice, and other outdoor activities. She was a professional model in her early years, worked for Zippo and was on their archery team, and played baseball and basketball. After retirement she and Maurice moved to Alaska to be near their daughter. She loved going to her daughter and son-in-law's cabin and riding on the boat, watching whales and catching halibut. Services will be held in PA at a later date.
