Patrick Warren Nichols of Sulphur Springs, Texas, formerly of Juneau, Alaska, passed suddenly at his residence on August 16, 2012.
Pat was born June 22, 1947 in Gardena, California to W.C. Nichols and Jean Waggoner, the first of four boys. After school, Pat went on to marry Alvis Lynn Duke and together had four children.
Our father had a long career driving taxi, giving colorful entertaining tours, as well as sharing Juneau's history and interesting facts to visitors and locals alike. He was a great storyteller and loved anything pertaining to history, art, and music and always had a joke ready for you. He was a great friend to many people and will be missed by all of us.
He was preceded in death by their infant son, Christopher Nichols, his parents, Warren Cornelius and Jean Arrena (Waggoner) Telford and his brother, Mike Nichols.
Survivors include children, Patrick Warren Nichols, Jr., Kelly and husband Terry Johns, and Lorri and husband Shane Johns. Grandchildren include Aaron Williams and wife Kaylee, Allen Williams and wife Lauren. Ashley and Alex Nichols, Sarah and Shelby Aulsbrook and Seth Johns. Michael and Madelynn Calderon and Katelynn Johns.
