Family and friends in Christ came together to celebrate the life of Paul Ballard at United Pentecostal Church on July 11, 2015. Born on November 2, 1966, Paul came to Juneau 7 years ago from New Rochelle, NY., leaving us June of this year.

Even in passing, Paul was a giver. His greatest, deepest love was seeing joy on people's faces. He found joy in the simple things in life: fishing, breaking bread with friends, and his beloved bible given to him by his sister in Christ, Starla Miller.

His family loved him with all they could possibly muster. Paul is survived by his brother Robert Williams, cousin Deron Clark, nephew Q'on W. Bear-Clark, and cousin-in-law Rhonda F. Jackson-Bear.

All who loved Paul will smile to themselves when they open a fortune cookie. Paul, you were and still are a soldier of God.

Rest in Peace.
