Raymond B. Carteeti, of Hoonah, AK, passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2013 in Anchorage at the Anchorage Native Medical Center.

Raymond had been in the care of a wonderful family, Art Evangelista with Helping Hands in Anchorage for the last seven years.

Raymond was Kaagwaantaan, Eagle/Wolf, and was born and raised in Hoonah, AK. He graduated from Mount Edgecombe High
School and had two years of college. Raymond spent most of his life fishing on the F. V ALERT.

Raymond was an avid walker; he always enjoyed talking with people on the street and was willing to give a helping hadn to anyone who needed it. Raymond is survived by his secen sisters: Myrna McKinley (Juneau), Rosie Carteet (Anchorage), Stella Cateeti (Juneau), Roberta Fawcett (Hoonah), Marzina Giddons (Juneau), Sharon Hill (Hoonah), Magna Carteeti (Anchorage), Aunt Millie Jack (Hoonah) and his Uncle Ronald Austin (Oregon). Services to be eld in Hoonah at the Salvation Army on Sunday April 28th, 2013 at 6:00pm. All donations can be directed to Sharon Hill P.O. Box 395 Hoonah, AK 99829.
