Raymond Leroy "Lee" Hurley was born in Juneau on May 13, 1949 to Dorothy and Robert J. Hurley Sr.
Lee passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 68 in Juneau on June 20, 2017.
Lee grew up on Telephone Hill, graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School class of 1967. During Lee's career he was a volunteer fireman, electrician and gentleman's commercial fisherman. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and being near the ocean. Lee was a jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
Respected by his peers and beloved by his family. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.
Lee is survived by his spouse Dorothy, his children Adam (Michelle) Zenger; Anne Zenger (Bil Rosky); Melissa Hurley (Carl Marvin III); Caroline (Casey) Walker, his grandchildren Stiles Pickle; Isiah Marvin; Carter, Callen and Colson Walker.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert J. Hurley, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Family Center on July 21st from 2-5 PM. All who knew Lee are invited.
