Richard was the 4th child born to Daniel and Bonnie Duncan on November 14, 1962. On April 5, 2018 he graciously left his broken body behind and is with the Lord.

He was born in Juneau, Alaska where he graduated high school in 1981. He attended University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Rick returned to Juneau where he married and his two daughters were born. He was a Capital City Fire Rescue Fireman and EMT. Doing what he loved, he was also instrumental in the Teddy Bear for children program.

He had a love for nice cars and fine cigars. He lived his life helping others and sought new adventures, whether it be new restaurants, or long drives to explore new places.

He is survived by his parents, Dan and Bonnie Duncan. Daughters, Destiny Duncan and Noella Duncan. Siblings, Jim Duncan (Renee); Jerry Duncan (Barb); Ron Duncan (Tawna); Kathleen Duncan. Nieces and Nephews, Danielle, Delana; Jeremy, Sabrina; Crystal, Kyle, and Andrea.

The family has designated memorial contributions to Hardrock F.O.O.L.S. PO Box 34991 Juneau, AK 99803. A Rick approved organization, exemplifying true brotherhood of Firefighters.
