Robert DeLa Vergne
May 25, 1945 - December 16, 2014

Robert Warren DeLa Vergne passed away December 16, 2014 in Laughlin, Nevada.

Bob worked for the U.S. Coast Guard in the Federal Building; State of Alaska Departments of Fish and Game and Administration; and was a 911 Operator for Juneau Police Department. Bob was also a veteran, serving 30 years active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, and retired honorably as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.

He was active in many clubs & organizations including: Mohave Desert Golf Club, Huukan Golf Club, Tuesday Coffee and Doughnut Bowling League, Wednesday Night Men's Bowling League, Friday Night Kings and Queens Bowling League, Chief Warrant Officers Association, Chief Petty Officers Association, Loyal Order of the Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also an avid fishermen, and enjoyed driving his boat and four-wheeler.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Violet DeLa Vergne; Father, Charles DeLa Vergne; and brother, Richard Charles DeLa Vergne.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl DeLa Vergne of Laughlin, NV; son, Robert DeLa Vergne II of Elizabeth City, NC; son Jeffery DeLa Vergne of Kihei, HI; daughter-in-law, Joanna DeLa Vergne and granddaughters, Samantha and Deanna DeLa Vergne all of Elizabeth City, NC; sister, Judy DeLaVergne Hadsell of Pasadena, CA, nieces Monica Hadsell Florin of South Pasadena, and Kristina Hadsell Sommers of Long Beach, CA; sister-in-law Diana Brostein of Sacramento, CA; nephew Andrew Bronstein of San Leandro, CA, and niece Valerie Bronstein Connors of Sacramento, CA. Robert is also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews: Zarah, Ariel, Samuel, Nora, Finn, Blix, Egan and Xene.

Robert's ashes will be released at sea in Juneau, Alaska in a private ceremony. The family can be reached at P.O. Box 29881, Laughlin, NV, 89028. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the .
