ROBERT PAUL BEIERLY III
Lifetime Juneau resident Robert Paul Beierly III passed away on January 9, 2013. Robert was born to Robert (aka Bob) Paul Beierly II and Flora Beierly on November 23, 1964. He graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in 1983.
He is survived by mom Flora Beierly of Juneau; brother Thomas Beierly Sr. of Oregon, sister Marie Beierly of Juneau. Children Amber Jo Beierly of Cushing OK and Robert Paul Beierly IV of Juneau. Granddaughter Colby Beierly of Cushing OK. Adopted siblings Joan Paloza, Peter Gowen, George Chappell, John Nease, John Castello, and James Johnson and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by Dad Robert (Bob) Paul Beierly II, grandparents Robert Paul Beierly Sr., Ida Beierly, Eli Phillips, Daisy Phillips, Aunts Roselina Paterson, Ginger Kinsey, and Pauline Case and uncle Howard Phillips.
Robert attended college at UAJ (now UAS), and Haskell Indian Junior College.
He was employed at Tlingit & Haida Head Start as a teacher and bus driver. Also a driver for Drift Wood Lodge, maintenance man at Tlingit & Haida Central Council and Geuning Park. Robert also volunteered as an announcer for Juneau Lions Club Gold Medal and did some volunteer work at The Miller House with his Dad.
Robert's favorite activities were fishing for king salmon and playing basketball with his dad, brothers and son.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday January 16, 2013 4:00 pm at Northern Lights United Church 400 W 11th St in Juneau, AK.
