Ron was ordained into the ministry in 1969, graduated in 1970 from California Missionary Baptist Seminary and in 1996 obtained his Doctorate in Christian Ministry from the Southern Baptist School of Biblical Studies.

As a Christian missionary in Alaska, Ron flew into remote villages to preach the gospel and teach bible study with a program called "Wilderness Wings" and, with his wife, founded a new church which still thrives today. He also sang and recorded gospel music. Ron will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, his love of adventure and his great sense of humor.
