Lifelong Alaskan Robert J. "Bob Pasquan succumbed to his battle against ALS-Lou Gehrig's disease on January 4, 2012 at home with his wife and family by his side. He was 61. He was born April 30, 1950 to Robert and Evelyn Pasquan.
Bob was born and raised In Juneau; he graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School. Bob was a Union Carpenter for the International Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 2247. He worked as a carpenter in Prudhoe Bay for AIC for ten years he then returned to Juneau and worked for the City and Borough in building maintenance. He also was a Commercial Fisherman for a period of time. Bob was President of the Juneau Trap Club. After retirement, he has spent many hours enjoying his passions; family, friends, fishing, hunting, and building.
Bob loved the outdoors, he and Rhonda spent most days up the Taku River, fishing and countless hunting trips. He was an avid outdoorsman and many would look to Bob for the latest outdoor techniques, however, he wasn't so quick to give away his secrets. He usually had the biggest fish, the first moose, and the most deer. He was the first one on the water. Bob would call up his friends and say "do you hear that?" and you would hear the fish flopping on the deck and he would laugh. Most days you would find Bob busy with his latest project. He was on a ladder, making something, behind the scope of a gun out hunting or out on the water enjoying the day and catching a fish. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Pasquan and mother, Evelyn Spain Pasquan. Bob is survived by his wife Rhonda Hildre Pasquan, his son, Robert Anthony Pasquan, brother, Ross Pasquan, his stepchildren, Celeste Dyakanoff of Juneau, Alaska, Marc and Monica Dyakanoff of Murrieta, California, Dylan Lee and Shaunna Baker of Murrieta California, Grandchildren, Keenan Dyakanoff, Tristian Dyakanoff, Kalis Dyakanoff, Kyrie Dyakanoff, Corbin Cameron, Cali Cameron.
