Longtime Juneau resident Danny Ray Greenwood passed away at 47 due to heart complications on August 14, 2013 in Vancouver, Washington. Born in Portland, Oregon to Alyce Tramm of Washington on December 30, 1965. Raised in Ninilchik and moved to Anchorage where he went to Diamond High. At 19, Danny moved to Juneau married Gwendolyn Austin. His first child, Tia Rae was born in 1987. Then had two kids Cody Allen and Jessica Allen. He moved to Idaho in 1994. After some years he moved to Longview Washington to be near his family. He met companion, Teresa Pascual.
Juneau was always home. He loved his children until the end of time. He talked about them to everyone. He made friends everywhere he went and because of his big heart, they never forgot him. He touched everyone he met and will be missed by many. He was a great man.
Survived by: mother Alyce Tramm; children Tia Rae (Greenwood) Benboe, Jessica Greenwood-Allen, Cody Allen, Son-In-law Justin Benboe; Companion Teresa Pascual; four brothers, two Uncles, two Aunts.
Preceded in death by a brother and father, John Greenwood.
A Celebration of Life scheduled on Saturday, September 7, 2013
Cremation had taken place in Vancouver, Washington. His ashes will be scattered at Mendenhall Glacier.
