Dawn Susan Register age 58 passed away unexpectedly in her home Friday January 17th, 2014. She was born January 15, 1956 in Stillwater, Minnesota to the late Dale and Shirley Register. Dawn is survived by her daughter Jessica Gozelski, son Colin Gozelski, husband George Gozelski, sisters Jackie (Dewey) Powell, Wendy (Gary) Hudson, brothers Scott (Debi Gosso) Register and Dan (Jan) Register.

Dawn moved to Juneau as a young woman in 1973, where she met many of the friends who have remained close throughout the years. Dawn managed and co-owned Juneau Drug Co. in downtown Juneau for many years. She valued hard work and was a self made business women who believed in second chances, as many who worked for her can attest. Dawn was a devoted and loving mother and a loyal friend who touched countless hearts in so many ways. Among her many friends are the women of 'The Louis' Ladies' softball team with whom she had fun over the years on and off the ball field. Dawn was an avid football fan and loyal Minnesota Vikings supporter her entire life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and would brighten the day simply by walking through the door. She was fun loving, a prankster and was the life of many camping and boating trips. Dawn was an animal lover who adored her pets, loving nothing more than to snuggle up with them along with a good book, more often as not with a couple extras as she was the go to 'Dog Sitter' for many friends. Her two children Jessica and Colin were a source of immense pride and her greatest joy. Those who knew and loved Dawn will truly miss her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering to commemorate Dawn's life, to be held on Saturday February 1, 2014 at Jim and Arbe Williams's home on 5th street, Douglas, AK to begin at 2PM. Guest directions are - take a right at I Street then a left at the top of the hill on 5th and proceed to driveway on the left. Parking can be found at Gastineau School.
