Raymond Meketa Obituary

Raymond Thomas Meketa passed away February 21, 2016 in Show Low, Arizona. He was born on December 28, 1935 to Margaret and Pete Meketa in Belleville, Illinois. He married Joy Louise Martin on October 5, 1957. He moved to Juneau/Douglas in October 1964 and worked for the state at DOT until 1991. He then moved to Show Low Arizona for his retirement years.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Joy Louise of 58 years, his brother Paul Meketa and sisters Rosie Kerber and Margie Shirmer. He also leaves behind his children Debbie Derr, Susan Listberger (Tom), Mary Pegues (Greg), Trisha Cole (Wayne), Rosie Thibodeau (Peter), John Meketa and Katie Meketa and also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association. Cards of condolences can be sent to Mary Pegues, Box 34801, Juneau 99803.
