David Morsman Obituary

Morsman, David F. Delton David passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside, in the home he built. David was born July 9, 1943, in Kalamazoo, the son of John and Mary (Keesler) Morsman. A veteran, David proudly served his country in the United States Army. A 1961 graduate of Loy Norrix High School, David was a loyal employee of General Motors where he was a welder, retiring with thirty nine years of service. A handy man with many friends, David enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and auto racing. David loved working on cars and being in his barn, and most of all he loved being with his grandchildren. On January 20, 1968, David married the love of his life; the former Nancy Sinclair, who survives. David is also survived by his children: John (Chris Tokarski) Morsman, Marcy (Paul) Leversee, and Tom (Jennifer) Morsman, grandchildren: Micayla, Katie, Mason, Emma, Jake, Jamie, Abrielle, and Daniel. David was preceded in death by his parents. David's family will receive friends Friday, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. David's funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2016, 11:00 AM at Faith United Methodist Church, Delton, Pastor Brian Bunch, officiating. Private interment will take place in Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice will be appreciated. So sorry to hear that Dave has passed away. Mike has known him for many years after working at GM with him. Most recently we saw him at car shows and really enjoyed visiting with him. Dave and I were childhood friends, we did all the stuff kids do like play Cowboys and Indians, Tag, playing in the woods at the end of Alcott St. we always had fun. I really miss those days. Rest in Peace my Old Friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a wonderful, caring man. I loved seeing him at all the sporting events and walking down Pine Lake Road. I will never forget him sitting in my garage with Nancy and the "crew", talking and having adult beverages until the early morning hours. He will be truly missed❤
