Erik, I am deeply saddened by the news of your passing. My heart and prayers go out to your lovely wife Paula and your three awesome children. It was such an honor to have served with you in the Marines and I will never forget all those nights we spent on the flight deck of the USS Constellation just laughing and talking about our hopes and dreams. The world has lost a good friend, husband and father. I know you are in heaven with that sheepish grin thrasing yourself with those crazy PT sessions you always did. I just wish more of the world could have meet and gotten to know Mr. Erik Ryel! God bless you my friend and we'll meet again soon!
