Becky was not only a great nurse but she was my reading budding - we exchanged books quit often. She will be missed by all of us and you and your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.

"Grandpas are just overgrown little boys"...
So my fondest memories of my sweet cousin Becky are from when we were kids. We visited at each others house, or played together with other cousins at our annual family reunions in Hennessey. Out on the farm, Becky and i would have adventures exploring the "treasures" of the old barn and other out buildings... We would take excursions to the pond, searching for giant bull frogs. We would go swimming in Hennessey on Memorial Day, the first day the pool opened for the season.
Other years we had our reunions at Maple Grove school house down the road.... the one room school that Aunt Faye, my Daddy and the rest of the sisters attended. We would imagine what it was like to have gone to school there... when life was simpler.
While visiting her at her house in Wichita, i remember being amazed at the spiral staircase Uncle Fonnie built. It was like climbing up into a treehouse with Becky.
As life happened for all of us and got more complicated, and as distance separated us, our time together was less. So i fill the vacuum with those wonderful memories of childhood escapades.
i will miss Becky, my cousin...
i will miss her smile at our family reunions...
i will miss the mischievous sparkle in her eyes...
i will miss her sense of determination..
i will miss her, but only for a while.. she and the others are saving seats at the table for those of us who remain behind... We will catch up with her in our time....
...Even so, i want my Becky back! We have too much playing...too much loving... left undone. But i know now she is no longer hurting. One of God's angels has found her way home...
