I was so very sorry to hear of my cousin, Duane's, death. (We always called him Duane.) I have lots of memories of childhood "get-togethers" with the Conyers & Hayden families. He was a fun-loving guy and I was always proud to call him my cousin.
With Sympathy & Loving Thoughts,

Gary, Larry and all of the family. We, Richard and I want you all to know you are in our prayers at this time of sorrow. My sis (Sandy), brother (Larry) and I have fond memories as children of all of us together. Dwayne (as we called him) was always the one that had the big laugh like his Dad and made us laugh. You will all have those fond memories to hang on to which will help you through this tough time. Another wonderful memory I have of Dwayne is how kind he was to his mother. Stay strong and keep your faith knowing Herb (Dwayne) is in the hands of our Lord..."Prayers and Cares"

Gary, Larry and all of the family. Richard and I want to extend our prayers to you in the loss of Herb (Dwayne) as we knew him. My sister (Sandra), my brother (Larry) and I have fond memories when we were children with the family. Dwayne, as we called him, had the biggest deep laugh that was so uplifting and made us laugh along with him. Another fond memory I have of him was being so kind to his mother. Keep your faith knowing that Dwayne is in the hands of our Lord with no more suffering. Prayers and Cares

Shelly and David,
I learned of the passing of your dad just a few minutes ago. I thought of him often and I am heartbroken that I missed the funeral. He was a good friend for many years and I'm sorry that I didn't stay in touch as I should have in his later years. May God bless you and your families.

I worked for Safelite Auto Glass the same time as Herb Conyers, my memories of him was that of a true gentleman, kind and a warm and welcoming smile.

I first met Herb when the little town of Liberal, KS hosted the Kansas JC Convention in 1963. Having been involved in various facets of Kansas, Oklahoma and US JC activities I got to know Herb fairly well. I remember him as gregarious, fun loving guy who never met a stranger and always had time for some of us younger guys in the organization. I wish we had not lost contact. I really enjoyed his friendship.

I have great memories of the Conyers family while growing up at Bethany United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas. Herb Conyers Senior was a great asset to the chancel choir while I was the director there. I have good memories of Herb, Gary and Larry as well. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Jan, Shelly, David, Meredith, and Lesley, Larry, and Gary, There are just a lifetime of memories of Herb. We so enjoyed being with your families on so many occasions, and they were all very special occasions. I KNOW THAT JACK WAS WAITING WITH OPEN ARMS AND SO HAPPY TO RECEIVE HIS DEAR FRIEND HERB INTO HEAVEN. Jan, I recall when you came to my house at the time of Jack's death. It was so meaningful
and appreciated. I will keep remembering the good times we had together and send my love, empathy, & sympathy to you all. You have all done so much for Herb. May God bless you all for sustaining him and bringing him such loving care and comfort. Love, Joyce Glimpse Madden

I hope this memory of Herb brings a smile to weary hearts. Herb became a part of my life when he started for Safelite as regional manager. Herb came in a dificult time for Safelite. We were growing so fast, everyone was wary of new hires wanting to staff with thier own people. As Herb was introduced, I remember leaning over to the receptionist saying..."If you wear going to hire a hit man, that's what he would look like!" I could not have been more wrong. He competlt changed the way we all felt about our jobs, our leadership and about ourslves. We had him as a mentor for too short a time. I'll have him as a freind and role model for a lifetime.

Dearest Jan, Shelly, David and your extended families that Herb loved so much, please accept our most sincere sympathy as well as our love and best wishes! As you know, we considered you all as part of our family as together we went through many life journeys. Only those who traveled the Jaycee road will understand, but we know that the world is a much better place because of Herb's leadership and motivational skills. You all shared in his many achievements and we know Herb is in Heaven with many of his ole Jaycee friends and with our Doug. Herb was like a brother to us and our children, Robyn and Doug, even knew your dear Herb as their "Uncle Herb". We send our tears, hugs and love to you all.

What can I say Gramps? We miss you terribly but are so thankful you are no longer lying there suffering. Each time I drive over to the condos, I don't remember you're not there until a few minutes pass. I will always remember your big laugh and how it always made me smile. It breaks my heart that my future children were not able to meet you and know how wonderful you were. At least we have plenty of memories and stories to look back on. Rest peacefully, Gramps. I love you.
Love,
your first born granddaughter,
