Mom,
It's hard to believe that you have been gone for thirteen years! Where does the time go? People say, "life is short," and I guess it's true. I miss you! We used to visit all the time, and I miss those times. Well, not too much longer and I will see you, again!

Mom,
It doesn't seem possible that you have been gone ten years! I miss you and wish I could just stop by the house and visit you, again. We always had things to talk about. I really wish I would have listened better when I had the chance. Now, I'm waiting for the day when I will see you face-to-face! We will really have a gab session on that day. I love you, and I miss you!

Mom,
Today is your birthday. I was thinking about you, today, thinking how much happier your birthdays are for you now that you are with God. The celebrations there must be marvelous! One day, I will see for myself. I still miss all the fun we used to have. It was nice just being able to drive out to the house and visit anytime I wanted to, but we will visit again some day soon. Always know that I love you, and I miss you!

Mom,
May is always a hard month for me. We lost you and Dad both in May, so it is like double the pain and double the memories. I still miss you, and would love to be able to sit at the table and talk over a cup of coffee, but I know that very soon I will see your face-to-face. That will be a glorious day!! Not much longer, now!

Mom,
Today is Thanksgiving, and I wish you were here to celebrate with us. Today, I was remembering things. I remembered the time we went to Arkansas and you helped make muscadine jelly. I thought they looked like grapes, so I tried to eat one. I was really surprised! They were awful! When you were here we had so much fun! Oh, how I miss those days, but I know I will see you again, soon! I love you and miss you!

Mom,
Today is your birthday. You would be 87 years old. I wish you were here so we could have a party with a silly cake. Deciding on a funny idea for the cake was always fun, even if you didn't like them all the time. I don't know if you liked the one that year you had poison ivy, and the cake was you with red, itchy feet. You were always a good sport about it, and we had lots of fun! I miss you, and I love you, very much! I will see you soon!

I miss you so much! I want to talk to you everyday. Mother's Day was a very sad day. This time of year is very bad. The other day I saw a yellow butterfly on the lilac bush and I thought of how much you would have loved that. We all miss you all the time. I think I will always wake up and thinking about how much I miss you, Dad and Dan. Will see you all soon!
Love and miss you

Mom,
Today is Mother's Day, and you are not here to celebrate what a wonderful mother you were to Roger, Barb, and I! Today was hard because it's been four years since you went to be with the Lord! I still miss you. I miss not being able to stop by for coffee and have a talk. We had such happy times! I was very fortunate because God gave me two great parents! I am thankful for that. I love you, Mom, and I will see you soon. Maybe we can have coffee on that day when we are reunited.

Dear Debbie, my heart is breaking for you. The holidays are the lonliest times when you can't spend them with your parents. It's hard to make it through. I know I couldn't do it without the Lord. I just miss my mother so much, even after all these years. I wish there were some words of comfort that I could impress upon you, but I don't have any. I just remember the good times we had and think of the day when I'll see my mother and all my loved ones again. What a great idea Aunt Essie had in keeping journals. I love you --I pray that God will just keep his loving arms around you. Cousin Thelma

This was the first Thanksgiving without Mom. I miss you, Mom! You always made such great Thanksgiving dinners! We had great times all gathering with you and Dad. I have some really great memories. I wish I had been more mindful to take photos and write stuff down! I enjoy reading the journals you left, Mom! You were right when you wrote that we would get a kick out of what you took the time to jot down. Thank you, so much! I love you, Mom, and I miss you and Dad all the time!

I can't believe that you have passed on from this earthly realm and joined grandpa in paradise. I know that you are in a better place, but i can't help but feel like a little bit of my childhood has left with you. The two of you taught me a lot of "country" living and i would not be who i am without the influence of you in my life! I love you very much and i know, without a doubt, that i WILL see you again. I'll be there when the lord calls my name and i can't wait!

So very sorry to hear about Aunt Essie. I was so happy to get to know her again after so many years. I loved her beautiful smile, and I think she had a little bit of a mischievous streak in her. A woman after my own heart. I will miss her and look forward to seeing her again someday. Sorry I did not get to convey my condolences at the funeral, but just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God wrap his arms around you and give you peace & comfort in this time of sorrow. If you think Aunt Essie had a big smile here on earth, can you imagine the smile she has now!! If it's possible for heaven to light up anymore, I know her smile is doing just that. Love Always, your cousin Thelma Eiland (Louise's daughter).

We were so sorry to hear about Aunt Essie's passing. Especially after losing Mother so recently. Wish we could have made the trip to be with y'all because having y'all with us to say goodbye to Mother meant so much to us. All us girls have so many fun and happy memories of Aunt Essie ... she was always the "cute" one and her giggle was infectious. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all today.
