Aboud, James J., 78, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011. Funeral service 7:00 P.M. Sunday at St. Mary Christian Orthodox Church. Graveside service 11:00 A.M. Monday at Old Mission Cemetery. Friends and family mourn the loss of James; the family "Big Kahuna." Jim was born January 21, 1933 in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from high school in Great Bend, KS, attended Kansas State University, served in the U.S. Army for two years, and settled in Wichita, KS with his loving family. He was an entrepreneur; Mr. Steak, Flaming Steer, and The Old Way Station were a few local restaurants he opened. Jim was bigger than life and always had a can-do attitude with a smile on his face. Preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Rose Aboud. Survived by his children, Bradley Aboud (Deborah) of Topeka, KS, Ashley Aboud, Stephanie Stuber (Brent) Jeanne Bennett (Robert); brother,, Russell Aboud; sister, Joan Aboud, all of Wichita; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Jim lived life to the fullest and is now in a better place. Memorials have been established with St. Mary Christian Orthodox Church, 344 S.
